The lifeguard tower is filled with fun and exciting equipment such as lifebuoys, rescue boards, rescue dummies, life jackets and torpedoes to inspire people to try their hand at lifeguarding.

The new lifeguard tower in the swimming pool is a smaller version of TrygFonden's popular red and white lifeguard tower, which we know from several beaches on the west coast, but unlike the lifeguard towers on the beaches, the tower in the swimming pool is not reserved for professional lifeguards - quite the opposite. The lifeguard tower is designed to inspire people to play with and explore lifesaving, and all users and members can try lifeguarding disciplines such as throwing a lifebuoy, balancing on a rescue board and rescuing a doll.

The lifeguard tower will make it fun for everyone to become good at lifesaving, and we hope that the exciting equipment and the various exercise suggestions you can find at the tower will arouse great interest and enthusiasm for lifesaving among both swimming club members and visitors to the swimming pool. Lifesaving can be practiced by everyone and being able to save yourself and others is an important skill. If you are in doubt about how to use the equipment in the lifeguard tower or how to perform an exercise, you can always ask the club and swimming pool staff, says Andreas Mølholm, Respect for Water Consultant at TrygFonden Kystlivredning.

All our swimmers can use the lifeguard equipment to practice diving, paddling and salvaging, for example, and we hope it will provide many fun hours learning to save themselves and others. We will also use the equipment in our Dolphin Kids class, where the children learn to become familiar with water, and here the equipment will provide opportunities for many challenging exercises. Our lifeguards are ready to show how to use the equipment, and we hope that it will help create interest in lifesaving and awareness of the importance of staying safe in the water," says Edvard Køhrsen, Deputy Manager at Slotssøbadet.
