Hygiene
The following hygiene and rules of conduct apply in Slotssøbadet's swimming pool
Be aware of infection - we encourage you to wash your hands often - sanitize at our changing rooms. We also recommend coughing and sneezing in the armpit.
- Children are allowed to accompany their parents in the same changing room, i.e. a boy with his mother and a girl with her father until the child turns 8 years old.
- Families with special needs can use the family/disabled changing room.
- Before entering the water, all guests must wash thoroughly without swimwear, wash their hair and wear a shower cap.
- After using the toilet, wash up again.
- Before using the pools, you must either rinse your hair or wear a shower cap.
- Make-up is not allowed in the pools.
- All waste must be placed in the waste bins provided.
- Guests with skin infections/wounds are not allowed to use the pools.
- Guests with foot warts may only use the pools if they are under medical treatment, which means that the warts are either frozen or burned off.
- Guests suffering from infectious diseases such as colds, diarrhea, ear infections, sore throats, etc. are not allowed to use the pools.
- All babies MUST wear swimming trunks outside the swim diaper, which can be purchased at Slotssøbadet's reception.
Guidelines for the use of swimwear in SlotssøBadet
In our swimming pools, you can swim as long as the clothes you wear are clean and produced for swimming (therefore both wetsuits and burkinis are ok). The only exception is lifesaving tests where regular clothes are allowed... but they must be clean.
We therefore focus much more on the cleanliness of the clothes than on what kind of clothes they are.
By the way, our "swimwear policy" is approved by the Medical Officer of Health.
